moose

Inii Insights |

The spirit of ta (moose) lives in the mountains, foothills, meadows and lakes. Ta keeps the natural balance of the grasses that grow in the shallow waters of sloughs and lakes. When the moose finds a good place to eat grass, they will often stay there for a long time. Spiritually, ta is known as a survivor and has been given gifts and characteristics that allow them the best chance of survival during the winter. In the winter, the moose eats willow twigs above the snow. Ta is a solitary being and prefers to be alone. The moose is known for being alone but yet not lonely. Classroom Connection|

Students have been learning about animals and how they survive winter in different ways. Some animals hibernate, meaning they sleep for a long time to save energy, like bears and ground squirrels. Others adapt by growing thicker fur or changing color to stay warm and camouflaged. Some animals migrate, traveling to warmer places where food is easier to find, like geese flying south. These strategies help animals stay safe and healthy through the seasons.

No Toys at School

This is a friendly reminder that toys from home should remain at home and not be brought to school.

Personal toys can become distracting during learning time and may also be lost or cause conflict between students. To help us maintain a focused and safe learning environment for all, we ask that children do not bring toys to school unless specifically requested by their teacher for a planned activity. Any toys brought to school will be collected by staff and families and returned at the end of the day.

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
