Phone in for Safety
Regular and prompt attendance is important all for students. Children with sporadic attendance or chronic late arrival miss valuable instruction. If your child is going to be absent or late please contact the school office to let us know. If the school is not contacted, we will send a School Messenger notification to you as soon as possible after attendance is taken in the morning and the afternoon to confirm the safety of your child. This is a reminder to call the school with updated attendance information. Please ensure your contact information is always updated at the school office.
Niitsitapi Learning Centre EDC/Preschool, Kindergarten, Grade 1 & 2 programs are desirable and we often have a waitlist for enrollment. It is therefore important that regular attendance is maintained throughout the year to access all the program benefits.
Attendance Expectations at the CBE
Regular and punctual attendance is foundational to student learning, academic achievement and long-term success. The CBE Administrative Regulation 6020 - Attendance of Students applies to all students, and outlines the responsibilities for students, parents and school staff.
